BSA Lifeguard Training, Must Have Current CPR/AED Certification. 4/22-4/23 & 5/20-5/21


The primary purpose of the BSA Lifeguard training program is to provide professional lifeguards for BSA operated facilities, council aquatics committees, and year-round aquatics programming. In addition, this training is intended to meet the requirements of government agencies for operations at a regulated swimming venue.

The program is open to all registered adults and youth, age 15 and older who have a current CPR/AED certificate of training completion.

$45 Fee includes BSA Lifeguard training, food and camp fees. If you serve as a lifeguard at one of VHC's long-term summer camps, you will earn a $60 credit. See VHC's long-term summer camps at The Adventure Begins...VHC Summer Programs!


Course completion consists of three portions. Registration includes Parts 2 and 3.

Part 1: CPR/AED Certification (on your own)

Part 2: Lifeguard Training at Camp Verdugo Oaks
April 22nd & 23rd (overnight)
Start: 8:30 AM, Saturday April 22
Dismissal: 4:00 PM, Sunday  April 23
