Aquatics Camp 2022: Choice of 2 Sessions
Aquatics Camp is a 7-Day/6-Night Sleep Away Camp for Scouts BSA and Venturers.
Choose Week 1 or Week 2!
Aquatics Camp is a week-long overnight camping experience where Scouts can focus on earning three aquatic-based merit badges (Canoeing, Kayaking and Small-Boat Sailing) and the BSA Stand Up Paddleboarding Award!
Overnight camping takes place at Camp Verdugo Oaks with on-water and classroom instruction taking place at the beautiful CSUN Aquatics Center located on nearby Castaic Lake. Scouts will shuttle from CVO to the CSUN Aquatics Center on each day of this specialty camp.
Overnight camping takes place at Camp Verdugo Oaks. Choose the week of Aquatics Camp to attend:
- July 10th to July 16th
- or July 17th to July 23rd
Each week of camp runs Sunday through Saturday, with a closing campfire on Friday open to all family members.
In order to participate in this program, participants must pass a standard BSA swim test as a SWIMMER. Because of the strenuous nature of this program, these standards MUST be met in order to attend the camp. There are no exceptions.
- Aquatics activities, campfires, camp-wide games and general Scout camp fun!
- Earn three aquatic-based merit badges: Canoeing, Kayaking and Small-boat Sailing.
- Earn the BSA Stand Up Paddle Boarding Award.
- Early Bird Fee is $350, includes camp t-shirt and patch.
- The Registration Fee is $375 after June 27th for Week 1 or after July 4th for Week 2.
Space is limited to 28 campers per week.This is a provisional Scouts BSA/Venturing Camp

- All participants (youth and adults) must provide BSA Health and Medical Records forms, portions A, B, and C.
- Download the Aquatics Camp Welcome Packet and other required forms below. We recommend you review the information before the May 18th Parent Orientation meeting.
VHC Electronics Policy
Electronic devices such as phones, tablets, walkie-talkies, handheld gaming devices, and other electronic media are NOT allowed at camp. Camp Staff are provided your contact information as well as emergency contact information in case you must be alerted for any reason.

As we all know, living with COVID-19 has become a reality. To that end, the common sense and best practices that have become a staple of these times will continue during our summer camp operations, such as wearing masks properly, washing hands, minimizing indoor activities, etc.
Please know that our Verdugo Hills Council Camp Staff is committed to a safe and fulfilling summer of camping. Your Scout’s safety is our number one concern! As LA County Protocols change, our safe camping practices will change as well.
Registration closes at midnight, July 4th for Week 1 and July 11th for Week 2, or when capacity is reached.
