Project C.O.P.E.

Are you a new Patrol Leader or Senior Patrol Leader?

Are you a new Venture Crew President?

Want to take your Leadership Skills to the next level?

Want to challenge yourself physically and mentally?

Project COPE is an acronym for Challenging Outdoor Personal Experience. New to CVO for summer 2021, Project COPE consists of group-initiative games, trust events, and leadership-enabling elements. Participants will be moving, running and climbing in this course. Bring proper footwear, sun protection and a water bottle.

To complete the COPE program, you need to be physically fit. However, by varying the goals or adjusting limitations, most COPE activities and events can be customized to challenge each team and each participant at an appropriate level.

Some activities involve a group challenge, while others develop individual skills and agility. Participants will improve their skills to be able to devise solutions to a variety of problems to be used in Scouting and beyond.

The course takes place over three Saturdays: July 10th, July 17th, and July 24th. The program goes from 9 AM to 5 PM. Lunch will be provided. Participants must attend all 3 Saturdays. Course fees are $100 for all three days.

All participants (youth and adults) must provide BSA Health and Medical Records forms, portions A, B, and C. The program also requires a daily pre-camp Covid-19 Pre-Participation Questionnaire.
