Wilderness First Aid Basics

Who should take: Adult leaders for Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Venturers, older Scouts (14 and above with leader), professionals, Parents, Girl Scout Leaders, Senior Girl Scouts

Location: Autumn course VHC Council Service Center and winter course Kaiser Permanente Hospital, Panorama City..

Saturday, January 26 AND Sat. Feb.23, 2008

Special classes can be arranged for a minimum of 8 students.

Prerequisites: None

Personal Equipment: 3-ring binder, pen or pencil and paper, large fanny pack or daypack, wristwatch with second capability, penlight.

Cost: $10.00 plus $10.00 for supplies to be paid 1st day of class.

Course Description: A 16 hour ARC First Aid course for persons involved in activities which take them beyond the scope of traditional urban emergency medical services when help is delayed in urban or rural situations and mass casualty incidents. CPR should be taken separately.

This course plus CPR completes all requirements for all advancements in Venturing.
