Cub Scout Leader Position Specific Training

With the development of the web-based training versions of the Cub Scout Basic Training Courses (which can be found at http://MyScouting.org), more and more Scouters are opting to take these courses on-line at their convenience. Nevertheless, taking an instructor-led version of these courses allows new leaders to learn about how your local council can help you provide the best Scouting program for your Cubs and their families, and to get your specific questions answered right away.

Step 1.  Cub Scout leaders should first go to MyScouting.org and complete the basic courses on-line:
This Is Scouting
Cub Scout Leader Position-Specific Training
Youth Protection Guidelines

Step 2.   At the optional Cub Scout Leader FAQs session, a couple of experienced trainers will provide a very brief review of the Aims of Scouting, the Cub Scout program, and the organization and functioning of the Cub Scout pack.  We'll also have a handout with BSA resources and local VHC contact information.  Best of all, we'll answer your questions both the questions you bring with you, and any questions that arise out of the discussion.  These sessions will be at the VHC Service Center.  There is no fee, and no pre-registration - just come for a chat and to get your questions answered.
