Camp Verdugo Oaks

Welcome to Camp Verdugo Oaks, an ideal, close-in camp for short-term programs with your Webelos den, Scout troop or other youth organization.
Camp Verdugo Oaks is located 45 minutes north of Glendale off I-5 at Templin Highway (see map), set among a stand of ancient California Live Oaks. The facility offers campsites, cabins, platform tents, and a rustic conference center with fully equipped kitchen. The camp can
accommodate 175 people or more for an event or activity.
CVO also offers a full range of program opportunities, including swimming pool,
archery range, BB gun shooting, campfire amphitheater, sports, nature trail and
so on.
Costs
The cost is based on the activities and facilities used for your visit to Camp Verdugo Oaks. For BSA groups, cost for campsites is $3 per person/per night; $5 for non-BSA groups. Here is a schedule of the other reasonable fees:
- Lodging - wall tents with cots or cabins, per person/per night: $5, BSA; $7, non-BSA
- Kitchen/Lodge - each 3-meal period: $35, BSA; $50, non-BSA
- Refrigeration Only (subject to availability) - per day - $ 7 BSA, $10
non-BSA
- Campfire amphitheater - $9, BSA; $12, non-BSA
- Swimming pool - per person/per day: $1, BSA; $1.50, non-BSA
- Rifle Range - per person per session: $1, BSA; $1.50, non-BSA
- Archery Range - per person per session: $1, BSA; $1.50, non-BSA
- Environmental surcharge - For groups of 25 or more for each 3 day
period, or portion thereof - $25 BSA, $35 non-BSA
If your group desires exclusive use of the camp facilities, you may reserve
them if available, and after paying a non-refundable exclusive use fee of $400.
A $50 refundable cleaning and damage deposit is required with your unit registration fee for campsites. Use of the Conference Center requires a $250 refundable deposit.
Conference Center
The
conference center may be reserved separately from the
rest of the camp facilities and includes kitchen, lodge,
bunk houses and the tent village. A minimum of
$150 will be charged for BSA units, and $175 for non-BSA
groups.
Camp Tours
For a tour of the camp facilties before your scheduled outing, call the Camp Ranger
to make an appointment. (The Camp Office is open Tuesday through Saturday; voice
mail is available at all times.)

Reservations

Reservations must be made in advance. Please contact the
Camp Ranger directly for reservation information.

Tentative reservations will be held for 10 working days
while awaiting security and reservation deposits. After
10 days the dates will be open for rental.

Reservations will be secured upon receipt of a
non-refundable / transferable deposit of half of your
estimated total camp fees.
