2. Research, discuss and choose the Eagle Project with the troop Scoutmaster (Coach or Advisor if Varsity or Venturing), and obtain their approval to proceed to have detailed discussions with the representative of the benefiting organization.

3. Discuss the project with the organization representative and begin to develop a detailed plan.

4. Develop and document the detailed project plan using the Eagle Scout Leadership Service Project Workbook. Consult with Scoutmasters, benefiting organization representatives and other unit leaders as appropriate.

5. Obtain the approval and signature of the benefiting organization representative in the Eagle Scout Leadership Service Project Workbook.

6. Obtain the approval and signature of the troop Scoutmaster (Coach or Advisor if Varsity or Venturing) in the Eagle Scout Leadership Service Project Workbook.

7. Obtain the approval and signature of a unit committee member in the Eagle Scout Leadership Service Project Workbook.

8. Obtain the approval and signature of a District Eagle Project Advisor in the Eagle Scout Leadership Service Project Workbook.

9. Proceed with the project.

10. After project completion, document the project accomplishments in the Eagle Scout Leadership Service Project Workbook.

11. Secure the approval and signatures of the benefiting organization representative and the Scoutmaster (Coach or Advisor if Varsity or Venturing) in the Eagle Scout Leadership Service Project Workbook.
